Attachment 2: Campus Recreation

Including: Student Fitness Center, McCormick Hall, Gregory Street Fields, The Redbird Adventure Center, and The Bowling and Billiards Center.

The client must sign an agreement and complete any other forms or applications required to comply with the agreement.

Reserving Facilities

To schedule or reserve space in the Student Fitness Center, McCormick Hall, Gregory Street Fields, Redbird Adventure Center, or the Bowling and Billiards Center, please complete the .

Services Offered

Campus Recreation offers a variety of spaces that are available for rental to accommodate a range of activities. There are spaces available for rental within the Student Fitness Center (SFC), McCormick Hall, Gregory Street Fields, and the Redbird Adventure Center (RAC). Each space is highlighted below.

Priority goes to academic activities first, and then to Campus Recreation programs. Special events for university departments and Registered Student Organizations (RSO's) follow that. The rental of all Campus Recreation spaces should fit the intended use of the space, unless otherwise discussed with the Coordinator of Events.

Student Fitness Center

Certain spaces within the SFC can be rented outside of academic hours. These would include the sport courts, Climbing Wall, Pool, and Fitness Studios. Space can be reserved by registered student organizations and university departments. Campus Recreation reserves the right to schedule spaces for academic classes or Campus Recreation programs prior to receiving reservation requests. This includes open recreation time.

McCormick Hall

Space in McCormick Hall can be reserved, but activities relating to the academic mission receive priority. Campus Recreation reserves the right to schedule spaces for Campus Recreation programs prior to receiving reservation requests. The Instructional Gym (252) in McCormick Hall is available to rent for recreational activities outside of academic hours. Classrooms are only available for group meetings if they occur outside of academic hours. Space can be reserved by registered student organizations and university departments.

Gregory Street Fields

The fields are available for rental when they are open during the spring, summer, and fall, pending the weather. Campus Recreation reserves the right to schedule spaces for Campus Recreation programs prior to receiving reservation requests. Campus Recreation also reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event based on the weather. An alternative date can be chosen in these situations. Registered student organizations, university departments, and public groups can reserve field space.

Redbird Adventure Center

The spaces that can be reserved at the RAC are the Low Ropes Course, the High Ropes Course, and the Meeting Room. The ropes courses can only be reserved for groups doing Team Building activities with our Adventure Team. These spaces can be reserved by registered student organizations, university departments, and public groups.

Bowling and Billiards Center

Spaces in the BBC include 10 bowling lanes, 17 billiards tables, and the Activity Room. Reservations are not necessary for bowling and billiards, but lanes or tables can be reserved for group play. Reservations in these spaces can be made by registered student organizations, university departments, and public groups. Campus Recreation reserves the right to schedule spaces for academic classes or Campus Recreation programs prior to receiving reservation requests.

Client Type

Campus Recreation has sole discretion to determine client type based on information provided on the Facility Request Form. If information changes after the original form is submitted, the group is responsible for providing the update to Campus Recreation. The Rate Sheet shows the charges applied depending on the client type. Client descriptions and Facility Use Agreements are listed below.

University Department Clients

精选AV department clients can request to use EMDH spaces, services, and equipment at reduced rates.

Public Clients

A person or public organization can request the use of space or program options available at Gregory Street Fields, the Redbird Adventure Center, and the Bowling and Billiards Center.

The following Facility Agreement will apply for Public Clients:

Sponsored RSO

Registered Student Organization that is sponsored by an 精选AV academic department.

The following Facility Agreement will apply for Sponsored RSO Clients:

Independent RSO

Registered Student Organization that is independent of the University and university departments.

The following Facility Agreement will apply for Independent RSO Clients:

Event Equipment

Campus Recreation offers a variety of equipment for rental. Select equipment can be reserved for events inside or outside Campus Recreation facilities no further than 30 days in advance of the rental date. These equipment items can be reserved for no more than 4 days at a time. Certain equipment items are only available for events inside Campus Recreation facilities such as tables, chairs, etc.
